About Louie Olivas
Louie Olivas, founder and CEO of Cinemolivas Productions, grew up in Tempe, Arizona, along side his three sisters Becky, Jenny, and Katy. In the Kyrene Elementary School District, Louie was involved in the Young Authors Program, and wrote his first book in the First Grade. These early years of creative writing sowed the seeds that lay dormant until Louie was a freshman on the campus of the University of Arizona.
After entering the film school and completing several student films, the call to start writing stories grew strong. A year later he had completed a long form treatment which would eventually become the feature screenplay JANCROON. In 2005 the script made its way to Terryl Whitlatch, a top creature designer at Lucasfilm. Louie and Terryl began working on initial concepts, and in late 2005 Louie formed Cinemolivas Productions LLC. Louie and Terryl are also developing an animation/fantasy project entitled BENEDOR.
Louie is working with producer Frida Torresblanco and her partner Eugenia Silva to secure funding for the project. Frida produced the widely acclaimed PAN’S LABYRINTH, and Eugenia is a world renowned model and business woman. They both formed Ritmo Films in 2008. Music industry executive Christopher D. Kyle is also on board to secure financing.
The Jancroon saga will continue with JANCROON: THE SWORDS OF SEMIDRON and JANCROON: BEYOND THE COSMOS.
One of Louie’s favorite quotes comes from one of his favorite books in the bible:
"A king’s secret it is prudent to keep, but God’s works are made to be known…"
- The Archangel Rafael, Tobit 12:7
